How we spend hours to beat a high score in fruit ninja or words with friends yet we can't spend hours getting a high score on bringing people to Christ.

How we spend hours on hours on facebook just to see what others are doing yet never talk to them to create a better relationship with them.

How we as humans think we are the best things in the world yet in reality we are nothing because God is the greatest most powerful thing.
Crazy....
How we think that no one else is dealing with the same thing as we are yet in reality everything is equal in God's eyes.
Crazy....
How we work on our relationship with God yet we never think we need help yet there are other people trying the same thing.
Crazy....
How we don't want to work hard because we follow others. Why not work hard so others will work hard rather than having a lazy society.

How we think drinking and smoking is being a rebel. Yet that is the regular so being a rebel would be doing the good.

How we don't think the bible is blunt. Yet if you read it right it blows it all in your face and God puts more hints in it than you think.

How we think we can't understand anything but it's really because we are blinded.

How we think life is suppose to be lived yet there is a completely different plan that we can't even imagine.
Crazy isn't it??? Crazy how we never really think about things like this.... Yet crazy enough, God is crazy because he created crazy and how would life be fun if craziness wasn't in our lives?? Question is are you crazy enough to live the crazy life God has put in front of you. Don't be shy live your life like crazy and make the best out of it. Crazy is key so don't make fun of the crazy but live it out.

Love

Its weird how love is because do you ever wonder if we really all do know what love is? I mean all adults usually tell the kids they do know what love is but the question is do they know what love is? It's crazy because adults can sound like hypocrites because many of the % have had divorces. So the real question is how can you judge someone that they don't love the other. What does true love feel like? What does falling in love feel like? If we don't really know how love feels makes you wonder how we can love God right? I think there are answers to this though. I think you know when it's love when you can handle the mistakes the other makes. I think love is when you can forgive and forget for the other person and work it out. I think love involves the fighting and arguments because if you can last through those you can last through anything together. I think love involves to have team work. How can you survive a basketball game without a team to rely on to be there for you when you can't move and you need to make the basket some how. Same thing with love you need to trust that person will always be there for you.
It's crazy how we struggle with the word love. It even bugs me how people throw around the word love. The definition of love can even be broken down.

Do you ever get that feeling in you whenever your away from that special one? That feeling that something is missing. Like the warm person attachment has gotten a little cold? I feel love is when you look into that persons eyes you just feel that deep affection or that warmth in you. Everything you hear from them you take in and you have that profound tender self towards them. I feel like love can make the strongest person super weak. If love wasn't in this world then we wouldn't be here because God created the true love when he sent his son down here to sacrifice himself. That's another thing I think when your in love and you have to fight for it like that it will hurt like no tomorrow. I feel people have taken the word love and fluffed it up too much. I think love takes a fight. To keep love it is hard. We can hardly keep love with good friends that we think we are close with but it ends up not even a friendship can last.

Next time you tell that special one that you love them think before you speak. Would you do anything for this person. When your not around this person are your eyes wondering. If you truly love the other person there is no reason for you to be checking out others. It's commitment and communication that keeps the love going. If you do not even have those two things you should probably stop thinking your in love. I hope you can now see a new side to love. I really don't know how to word it all right but those are just a few thoughts on love. I thought I needed to just write about something random and that is the word I came up with tonight. For me truly I think I'm slowly but surely understanding love but the only way I'm understanding it is because the bible talks about it so much so go check it out. Especially for you men because if you love your lady you won't hurt her and turn your back on her. You will respect and honor her like she is your most fragile flat screen tv. Because you know how we treat out electronics =)

No Title

This blog is going to be a free write. I have so much on my mind but I really don't know how to type it out. Last few days have been a challenge. You set so many goals up for yourself and you try to every single one and it becomes challenging. Hope you guys are really trying to try the challenges I throw out there for yeah. I promise you it makes you feel so good inside. Once you have gotten past the awkward stage things start to really open up for you. I really do believe in whatever good you do that something good will come out of it. Whether that be helping a friend pay for his dinner or what not that money will come back to you maybe even double of that money. I have really realized the more generous you are the more people start to see it and repay you. It's really cool how life can work that way.
Recently I have been doing a lot of chores for my dad around the house so it can speed up of me paying off my truck. Well one of these chores is painting these really light shelves. Now I have to paint them black. Now when you are trying to make a really bright color turn to a really dark color it is easy to see the mistakes. This isn't the point though. The big picture of it all is when your done and your cleaning off your brush. Now picture the brush that has the black paint on it as your heart. Let's say you just keep making mistakes and you just keep messing up every corner you turn. Well now your trying to make up for those mistakes as yourself as a human. I still to this day have black paint on those brushes, because we as humans cannot physically or mentally wipe away those mistakes or sins. No matter how hard you try to hide it those little marks will always be there. Therefore there must be a bigger power above us right????? Let's not be blind but see. Let's not walk around darkness like a dumb blind bat but turn on our iphone apps that is a flashlight so that we may see.
That is my little story for the day and just something I was thinking about as my hands were cramping from painting some freaking shelves. =) I hope you guys are having a really good week. If not just remember there is always another week ahead of you. Try to keep the smile on your face and try and not make it fake. To be honest you can totally tell if it's a fake smile rather than a real one. Tomorrow is my birthday and Kristi has me busy busy this weekend so another blog probably won't be coming up till next week. Another Day

I posted it on facebook but I thought I would go into a little more detail in my blog. I always find it weird how my mind thinks more during the middle of the night rather than the day when I'm really suppose to be up. Anyways that is not the point.... Here is the point though. It has been storming like crazy here in Sacramento. For all of you who don't live in California... trust me it is not always sunny California. But what I was thinking as I was sitting in my bed is that with all these storms and hearing the super strong winds and the rain just pounding down. Do you ever wonder if it could be God's tears. I mean he is known to be such a powerful God so why can't the weather be his emotion? Of course no one can prove this fact but if you think about it it makes you wonder. I mean what if God is crying over the world because of all our sins and it's his only way of washing things down to make it somewhat clean. It's almost like being a janitor in a bathroom. The bathroom gets filled with disgusting smells and just starts to look nasty and eventually the janitor just has to spray it all down for the next day. Sometimes I think God just thinks we need a cleansing moment. Yet we all fear weather and the storms. Maybe it is like us fearing our parents when we make them mad or hurt. In a sense we are hurting and making our father in heaven sad which makes us scared of his storm from his eyes. The truth is we hurt because God hurts because we are his creation.
Something interesting Mr. Collins brought up the other day in class. If you can't make your life perfect then there must be someone else in control of your life. There must be something perfect out there if it can't be you. So why not believe there is something more out there.... like God? It's crazy because I never thought of it that way. If there was no God then I could do whatever with my life and it would always be perfect. But what is the fun of that? I think I rather have a God above me to teach me the life lessons. That could also just be because I'm human and that's how I think automatically.
Another lesson I learned today is that working hard can suck sometimes. I mean think of all the times you thought you went 100% in a project and no one was looking and you didn't get the credit you deserved. I feel like this almost happens too much. You work your freaking tail off yet no one sees it and they think you have done nothing. It's like watching a show or play and your like oh okay I could do that and that looks easy. Yet all those actors worked their butts off behind the scenes that you couldn't even see. So in a sense you never did watch their full show. Because in truth the whole show has been going on for months as they practice and practice to perfect it. Work is important and I understand that. Yet it frustrates me to know that a lot of us don't get the credit we deserve. But think how Jesus felt when he was down here. He was pulling off crazy miracles and teaching like no one has taught before. Did people care? Some did but not most. Most people didn't even believe him. We as humans still don't know the kind of pain he had to go through to be hung on that cross... Through the whipping and everything on top of that. If I could be any hero I would want to be Jesus that's for sure.

Thoughts

Well today was a good day for myself. I know we all have our bad days and good days and this was one of my good days. I am starting to really understand how amazing your life can be with the relationship of God. Not just only the relationship with God but the relationship with your mentors and accountability partners. This will help you in your walk in life so much. Today the boys and I talked about how are tongues can be so evil. Ryan Seeburger did a great job leading the group today (Especially with those hand outs). Anyways the point is that I don't think we realize how bad our tongues can be. We really challenged ourselves that we can't be leaders if we can't lead with a clean tongue. It's so true because how would you like to look up to someone you thought was a great leader in God and then you saw them cussing out there dog because it peed on their carpet? It's a really tough world we live in today because now we can use f*** over the television. It is a crazy world we live in today but why not change it. I know a lot of us guys in our group have had a rough time with this subject. I know a lot of you teenage guys or girls have a tough time with it as well.
So in everything you do don't get super mad and let your mouth speak its own words but have control. Another great thing I think I learned today is that your mornings are the most important part of your day. You know how they say breakfast is an important meal in the morning but check it. Prayer is the most important meal to your day too. Not only prayer but the good of God. Why not play some Lecrae or some type of legit Christian music. Because what you start your day with is how it will turn out. You might listen to Eminem and just be angry the rest of the day. Another way to start it out is just wake up and have some silence. These are many ideas a bunch of the guys in our group today came up with. Even get into the word or as you sit in your car before you go into school just think and pray about how you are going to be a good leader.
One last thing on this blog. Don't you find it weird how we find it so hard to say hello to someone. I mean if it's true that we are all living this life together why can't we just say hello to each other. If we are all truly brothers and sisters in Christ why can't we say Hi to each other. I mean I'm not even saying to get to know them and get a friendship out of it. But why not the friendliness? No, not saying lets all be hippies and throw the peace sign around but just throw a smile on and say hello. You might think "Oh it's not important if I talk to them" the truth is..... that might be the one thing they need.
So the day after you read this please challenge yourself to these things. Please, I challenge you to start getting into the word. The more you train yourself the more you will do it. Have a good day or night. Love you guys. Thanks for reading!

Respect

Tonight's Blog will be about respect. I really feel like a lot of our mentors or people we learn from don't get as much of the respect they should. To be able to deal with us and try to teach every brain that works in a different way is a difficult thing to do. The fact that we ignore or don't pay attention to what they have to say is awful. I know for a fact that I am guilty of this. But think if you were the one trying to teach and you would want to be heard. You don't just get the wisdom out of no where you have to learn it from somewhere and that takes years of learning and hard work. So think of this next time, think if you worked 5 years on one house and you made it amazing for this family. They just moved into it like it was just another regular house. You didn't get a thank you. They didn't listen to you when you were telling them the special features you put into it. That is a rough thing. Lets say your playing a sport and you worked your butt off. Yet everyone in the stands during the whole game were on their phones and lap tops and never saw one part of the game. That would personally make me feel awful and disappointed.
I feel we should have more respect then. If you want the respect you have to give it first. This goes towards your parents, teachers, and whoever else is your mentor in life. I know its a big one I will be focusing on from now on. Without respect how are you suppose to get that raise you want or the things you need in life. That one person who can give it to you can hold it from you till they get that respect they deserve. It's a big thing in life to have. Pretty sure God would like his respects too. The cheating and the lying that we do just isn't respectful and you wonder why we do it....
I challenge you to not only enjoy the life you are given but respect the people who make your life better. Who make you make better life decisions. Who are there for you when it doesn't seem like it. This is all for now I'm too tired to write anymore.

Life

I apologize for many things. I apologize for not being the leader I was born to be. I'm sorry for leading a lot of you away from the truth. I'm sorry for being the example I shouldn't have been. The truth is I don't know who I was being through Sophomore and Junior year. This will be my blog and I will be trying to update it as much as possible as my life goes on. I have had a great wake up call from two people in my life (Jake Allbaugh and Ryan Seeburger) these boys have been a huge part in my life lately. The fact is I have been reminded I would like to be remembered as the God of man I was born to be. For the greatest gift is my Lord. Today I was sitting down with Jake and we just talked about how we can't even explain the prize we get when we get to heaven. We can't even take in how God could forgive us so many times. Think about it, if your girlfriend or best friend lied and back stabbed you as many times you have disobeyed God's law would you be able to still love them unconditionally? It's pretty crazy to think about if you ask me.

Today I just pondered on life. The fact is don't live your life in anger. Why not love the life you were given today? The truth of it all is you mean so much to so many people. Sure we all have our bad days because we live in an evil world. You can always take something positive out of the bad day though. I encourage something that I will be doing every day. Smile or wave to 5-10 people each day because that one smile or wave could save a life. I know we have all had those days where we feel no one loves us or cares for us and all we want is a little love.

This could all mean nothing to you. I'll tell you one thing though it has made me feel so good inside. It has made me want to live my life in a different way. Why not give than receive? We are a nation of brother and sisters so why should we hate on each other? I know for a fact I would not want to treat my sister (Kendra Brown) how I have treated others just because I want to be the cool big man. So I would have to say today's lesson for me is to smile more because that one smile can make someone's day. I'm also going to challenge myself to not judge as much as I used to.
